Alluring eyes

Sweep on a shadow in a mysterious hue. Yves Saint Laurent’s new Double Effect Eye Shadow comes in six different colours to shimmer and shade. Apply the paler colour all over, then define the contour of the eye with the deeper shade to make your eyes ‘pop’.

To "open up" your eyes, dust a little of the same colour under the eye with a fine brush.

To personalise your look, sweep your favourite eye shadow (try Lancome Strass Blue) over the top of a matt black eyeliner. Et Voilà! Metallic shimmering eyes that are guaranteed to turn heads.

Feline eyes

For a dangerously feline eye, apply eyeliner in one smooth sweep along the upper lash line. Go smooth and sleek with a liquid liner or smoulder with a powder shadow.

We love Guerlain’s new cult essential, irridescent Terracotta Loose Powder Kohl. Just remove the applicator stick from the bottle and glide with it along the eye. Top Tip: Add a touch of pale in the inner corners of the eye to create a sultry "cat's eye".

Show-stopping lashes

For dramatic lashes, the secret is in the application. First curl with an expert eyelash curler.

Now apply a great volume-boosting mascara, such as catwalk favourite DiorShow - apply to upper lashes only for a fluttery Sixties look, or concentrate on the outer lashes for a sexy feline silhouette.

Now complete your catwalk look with a pale creamy gloss and set the the dancefloor alight!
