Cocktails

Cocktails are the new cool, it's official. From New York to London, Sydney to San Francisco, trendy style bars, members' clubs, hotels and clubs are leading the way and redefining the drink experience. The most informed of us elect to enjoy cocktails and their tantalising new tastes. But don’t take our word for it – try some for yourself...


Bacardi and Mojito Bacardi mojito
6 small mint sprigs
2 x 15ml spoons sugar syrup
1/2 parts freshly squeezed lime juice
crushed ice
1 part Bacardi Carta Blanca Rum
12 dashes Angostura bitters (optional)
2 parts soda water

Place the mint, sugar syrup and lime juice in a jug, muddle (that is, gently crush using a pestle-like implement called a muddler), add crushed ice, then rum and Angostura bitters, top up with the soda water and gently stir. 


 Reyka and Vodka Collins

Reyka Collins
50ml Reyka Vodka
crushed ice
15ml lemon juice
8 blueberries
soda water
5ml sugar syrup

Crush 8 blueberries in a hi-ball glass with ice. Add 5ml sugar syrup, 15ml lemon juice and 50ml Reyka vodka. Top with soda water and garnish with berries.

Sagatiba Caipriniha
2 tsp granulated sugar
75ml Sagatiba Pura
8 lime wedges

Muddle the sugar into the lime wedges in an old-fashioned glass. Fill the glass with ice cubes and pour the Sagatiba into the glass. Stir well.


Chivas Regal and Kiwi Chai

Chivas Kiwi Chai
50ml Chivas Regal
Half a sliced kiwi fruit (no skin)
5ml lemon juice
5ml almond syrup
50ml apple juice

Shake and strain into an Old Fashioned glass filled with crushed ice, garnish with a wedge of kiwi.


Stolichnaya & Kahlua White Russian
2 parts Stolichnaya
1 park Kahlua
Milk and cream

Fill a highball glass with ice. Shake the Stoli & Kahlua and pour over the ice. Top with milk and cream
